- 3 cups water (4 cups if not adding milk)
- 3 tsps tea leaves black tea leaves
- 2 cm piece ginger, chopped
- 4 tulsi leaves, crushed
- 1 cup milk* (preferably toned) (optional)
*Note: You may use toned milk/skimmed milk for tea preparation
- Boil 3 cups of water (if using milk) or 4 cups (if having black tea) in a saucepan or kettle.
- Add crushed tulsi leaves and chopped ginger to the water and let it come to a boil.
- Once the mixture boils, add tea leaves and let it simmer on low flame for 1-2 minutes.
- Add milk if desired and let the mixture boil again and simmer for 2-3 minutes. If not adding milk, proceed to the next step.
- Strain the tea and enjoy.
