  • 3/4 cup moong sprouts (or)
  • 1/2 cup black chana sprouts
  • 1 medium cucumber, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 4 tsp lemon juice
  • Use minimal amount of salt
  1. Soak the whole moong or black chana overnight in a moist muslin cloth/covered utensil with just enough water. Let it sprout (usually 12-16 hours for moong in summer and 24-30 hours for black chana sprouts).
  2. Wash the cucumber and tomato thoroughly. 
  3. Peel the cucumber. Finely chop it along with tomato.
  4. Take a bowl and add sprouts. Add chopped vegetables, lemon juice, salt and cumin powder.
  5.  Mix them well with a ladle. Serve with meals or as a healthy snack.
