- 3 cups water (4 cups if not adding milk)
- 3 tsps black tea leaves
- 2 pods green cardamom, crushed
- 2 cm piece ginger, chopped
- 1 cup milk* (preferably toned) (optional)
*Note: You may use toned milk/skimmed milk for tea preparation
- Boil 3 cups of water (if using milk) or 4 cups (if having black tea) in a saucepan or kettle.
- Add chopped ginger and crushed cardamom to the water.
- Once the ingredients boil, add tea leaves and let the mixture simmer on low flame for 1-2 minutes.
- Add milk if desired, and let the mixture come to a boil. If not adding milk, proceed to the next step.
- Strain the tea and enjoy.
