ADRAK TULSI CHAI  (GINGER BASIL TEA)

 1 cup

  • 3 cups water (4 cups if not adding milk)
  • 3 tsps tea leaves black tea leaves 
  • 2 cm piece ginger, chopped
  • 4 tulsi leaves, crushed
  • 1 cup milk* (preferably toned) (optional)

*Note: You may use toned milk/skimmed milk for tea preparation

  1. Boil 3 cups of water (if using milk) or 4 cups (if having black tea) in a saucepan or kettle.
  2. Add crushed tulsi leaves and chopped ginger to the water and let it come to a boil.
  3. Once the mixture boils, add tea leaves and let it simmer on low flame for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add milk if desired and let the mixture boil again and simmer for 2-3 minutes. If not adding milk, proceed to the next step.
  5. Strain the tea and enjoy.
