If you are prescribed 1200 kcal, 1400 kcal, 1600 kcal,1800 kcal, 2000 Kcal, you can consume: 1 half palm sized piece

  • 250g chicken with bones (5 medium sized pieces)
  • 6 small garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4cm piece ginger, crushed
  • 5-6 sprigs finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 4 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 tsp olive oil

Dry Spices

  • 8 peppercorns, freshly pounded
  • Use minimal amount of salt
  1. Clean the chicken thoroughly and wipe dry.
  2. Crush ginger, garlic, and pound the peppercorns. Clean and chop coriander leaves.
  3. Make a marinade of crushed ginger, garlic, peppercorns, coriander leaves, 2 tsp of olive oil, salt and lemon.
  4. Cover the chicken with the marinade and keep it covered for half an hour in a tray or bowl.
  5. Take a heated tawa (griddle) or griller and brush it with 2 tsp of olive oil. Place chicken pieces on it.
  6. Cook on both sides evenly for 15-20 minutes on low flame. Baste it regularly with oil. 
  7. Serve hot with mint- curd dip*.
