Indian-Mediterranean Diet

An Anti-Inflammatory Indigenous Diet
This website attempts to answer the most oft-asked question to any cardiologist- Doctor, what should I eat to protect my heart? The standard answer in any busy clinic is to enlist what not to eat. Here, we attempt to go beyond and roll out a heart-friendly diet by a team of cardiologists, nutritionists and biochemists led by AIIMS, Delhi, in collaboration with The George Institute of Global Health (India). The Mediterranean diet has been extensively studied and proven to nurture good heart health because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Our team meticulously studied the commonalities and appropriate substitutes between the constituents of the Indian and Mediterranean diets to create a similar anti-inflammatory diet.
